AI Surface Renderer
What It Does
Swap the material on a specific surface — driveway, floor, wall, or countertop — pixel-accurately. Upload a phone photo of any surface, pick a material from your catalog, and the AI swaps that surface in seconds while preserving lighting, perspective, shadows, and edges.
How It Works
01 — Photo Analyzer (GPT-4o Vision): analyzes lighting, perspective, surface type, and what to preserve.
02 — Surface Segmenter (Meta SAM3): isolates the target surface at pixel-level, with no bleed.
03 — Material Renderer (Stable Diffusion img2img): renders the chosen material while preserving the original lighting and shadow.
04 — Quality Reviewer (GPT-4o Vision): verifies realism, flags seams or mismatches, and returns a pass/fail.
05 — Refinement Agent (Stable Diffusion): re-renders flagged regions, up to 2 retries, then escalates to a human.
Human-in-the-loop: sales can adjust the segmentation boundary, and every render is logged.
See It Work
A recording of the renderer in production for paving: a customer photo goes in, a driveway material is picked, and the surface is swapped with the original lighting, edges and shadows left intact.

Why AI Surface Renderer
Quotes in seconds
Turn a job that took days of manual mockups into a photo-real preview generated in about 30 seconds.
Near-zero rendering cost
Replace $1,500–$5,000 in manual visualization work per quote with a small per-render API cost.
Higher conversion
Photo-real previews help lift quote-to-sale conversion from roughly 20–30% toward 45–55%.
Fits your materials
Works with any material library you upload — paving, flooring, tile, countertop, wallcovering, and decking.
